The Chair of Algebraic combinatorics at the Faculty of Mathematics is looking for a

PhD student (m,f,x), for 3 years, 29,8725 hours per week, TVL E13

The successful candidate will work in the Algebraic Combinatorics research group of Prof. Christian Stump within the project „Combinatorial Polytope Theory“ funded by the German Research Foundation.

 

Your tasks:

  •  Research in Algebraic Combinatorics and Discrete Geometry
  • Computer explorations using mathematical software such as SageMath
  • Active participation and co-organization of events of the research group
  • Collaboration with other researchers in the field, nationally and internationally

 

Dein Profil

Your profile:

  • Applicants are required to have an academic degree (completed M.Sc.) in mathematics or a related field
  • Knowledge in a research area related to the research group in Algebraic Combinatorics and interest in computer-aided explorations
