In order to fill a fixed-term position in part-time (9 hours per week) by April 1, 2025, we are looking for one

Research assistant (WHB) (m/f/x) with a Bachelor's degree in Tunnelling

We are a team of young and experienced tunnelling engineers and contribute our research to the tunnelling community at a national and international level. Our research focuses, among other projects, on the face stability in shield tunnelling, sprayed concrete applications, waterproofing of tunnels and process simulation in mechanised tunnelling.

 

Your tasks:

  • Collaboration in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of practical laboratory experiments
  • Support in the simulation of logistics processes in mechanised tunnelling
  • Supporting and independent collaboration in current research projects
  • Independent research and evaluation of specialised information and literature

 

Dein Profil

Your profile:

  • Basic knowledge of programming (Java, Python)
  • Knowledge of the common MS-Office - programs
  • Ability to work independently, good organisational skills, commitment, ability to work in a team and flexibility

Further information:

The opening is for an undergraduate assistant and is governed by § 6 of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (engl. Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act; WissZeitVG). The hourly wage is 15,00 €.The Place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.
