The LOEWE Center emergenCITY has been researching resilient infrastructures for digital cities that can withstand crises and disasters since 2020. The team consists of over 20 professors in the fields of computer
science, electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering,
political science, history, law, economics, and architecture.
We are looking for a student assistant with a monthly working time of up to 40 hours to support us in the laboratory as soon as possible. A long-term cooperation is desired. We offer the opportunity to expand knowledge through learning by doing
Dein Profil
Tasks:
- Support in the technical management of the research center
- Support in the operation of the laboratory and its facilities
- Maintenance, servicing and support of the infrastructure
- Introduction and implementation of new ideas to improve the infrastructure
- Support for internal and external events
What we are looking for:
- Good knowledge of Linux system and network administration
- Experience in programming with scripting languages (esp. Bash, Python)
- Fluent English, good German skills
- Organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Reliability and time flexibility
- Joy of interdisciplinary work
- Enrolled at a university/college
- Optional, advantageous: experience with Debian, Proxmox, Ansible, Docker, as well as MacOS and Windows workstations
