The Chair of Inorganic and Materials Chemisty (https://nanochemistry.uni-koeln.de) is an international and interdisciplinary research group focussing on

functional materials synthesis from molecular pre- cursors. We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoc with background in molecular chemistry to develop

new precursors for the fabrication of metal oxides and metal nitrides thin-films via ALD technique. Candidates are welcome to propose additional projects within and beyond the scope of the current research framework.

 

YOUR TASKS

 

  • synthesis of molecular precursors for Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) of metal oxides, nitrides, etc.
  • coordination of a research project with internatonal partners
  • publication of reserach results in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, workshops
  • supervision of undergraduate and graduate students
  • developing new research topics, research collabo- rations, networks, etc.
  • promote a culture of respect, collaboration and mutual support in the lab

Dein Profil

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • you hold a doctoral degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics or similar field
  • you have a proven track of outstanding research results i.e. you are the (co-)first author of publications in peer reviewd journals
  • you are a team player who thrives in an international collaborative working environment
  • you have excellent English language skills
  • you have a background in molecular synthesis under inert conditions
  • you have previous experience in materials synthesis using gas phase deposition techniques (i.e. CVD, ALD, etc.)

The position is available from 1 March 2025 on a fulltime basis (39,83 hours per week). The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 28 February 2028. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
